Ratiopharm is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Germany, and is based in the city of Ulm, Baden-Württemberg. It is an international company and is an important part of the pharmaceutical giant Teva, which is a world leader in generic and customized drugs.

At the very early of 2010, Teva announced the acquisition of Ratiopharm, which is the leading generics maker in the Federal Republic of Germany. The company is involved in the development of tumour immune therapies by using the RNA technology intended to treat prostate cancer. Additionally, it made advances in the development of RNA produced prophylactic vaccines and adjuvants.
